About
Singleton Racing Team
The history of Singleton drag racing goes back to the inspiration of Mike’s grandpa, Dan Singleton. The tradition has been carried on by Dan’s sons Ed, John and Rich.
Dan started racing Chevys in the 1950’s, however he decided to switch to Dodges when they kept beating him at races. Dan started Singleton’s Running Ram and the Singletons have been Dodge boys ever since.
Mike spent his childhood attending races with his family at many different tracks in Illinois and helping his grandpa and father build race cars. Mike raced his 1970 Duster sporadically throughout his teen years.
In 2020, Mike decided to take on the family tradition of drag racing again with his 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 in Street/Sportsman and Pro/Modified classes.
Mike and Stephanie met in May of 2020 and the two of them dove feet first into making Mike’s 2012 Charger faster and more consistent as a race car.
Working together to make a dream a reality, Mike and Stephanie continue to do updates to the Charger. Continuing to carry on the tradition of Mikes grandfather is one of the many driving forces behind Singleton Racing Team.
Singleton Racing Team coincidentally has the same abbreviation as the Dodge Street and Racing Technology (SRT) model of their vehicles. The fact that these two go hand in hand is pretty neat..
